“Bert” – Rigoberto

Bert is a Holsteiner/TB gelding by Hill Top’s stallion, Riverman and is owned by Lynn Eastburn.  He has called Hy-Hope Stable home since his was a 2 year old.  Pam broke him and has brought him along slowly doing some small schooling shows over the past couple years.  This year we are looking forward to showing him off at the recognized shows, so be sure to look for him.

~ Show News ~

**Fair Hill, June 2010** Congratulations are in order for Lynn Eastburn’s horse Rigaberto.  In his second show of the season, ‘Bert’ blossomed at the Dressage at Fair Hill show in Maryland on June 12 & 13, 2010.  He showed off his stuff by winning all four of his First Level tests and captured the First Level Championship award.  Trainer/Rider Pam Thompson was thrilled that he just kept improving with each test.  His scores started with a 68.889% and 71.333% the first day, then kept climbing from a 73.667% to a 76.944% the second day under two different judges.  What a promising start for this very talented horse! 

**Blue Goose Show,  August 2010** Rigaberto continues to show off his moves at first level by consistently earning scores in the 70’s.  We are keeping our fingers crossed waiting to see where he finish’s in the USDF All Breed standings at the end of the year.  Meanwhile, Pam is looking forward to seeing what they can do at second level.

**2010 USDF All-Breeds Award** Congratulations to Lynn Eastburn and Rigoberto ‘Bert’ on their third place finish in the 2010 USDF All-Breeds Awards program. Rider Pam Thompson and Bert earned a median score of 70.930% at first level. They also placed 31st out of 529 for the USDF Horse of the Year award. What a wonderful start for this pair. Look to see them moving up to second level next year!
