Extra Special

Special was a TB/QH mare and Pam’s very first horse.  Pam was not fortunate enough to grow up in a family that owned horses, but sought out every opportunity to be near them.  Over time, her parents realized that her obsession with these four legged equines was not just a passing faze.  On her fifteenth birthday, with good intentions and little financial resources, they bought Pam’s first horse…an unbroken three year old mare.  They, of course, broke all the rules for a safe and positive first mount.  Fortunate for Pam, Special was (for the most part) patient and tolerant of all her mistakes as they learned together from the school of ‘hard knocks’.  Pam owned Special until she passed and she will forever be in Pam’s heart.
